Join Baker Siena Unfried from West First Bakeshop for a deep dive into the flavor and craft of Gingerbread using stone ground flour.
Our flavor forward flour is the perfect fit for a spiced cookie dough. Please join us for the craft of gingerbread. In this HANDS-ON class, baker Siena Unfried will provide baking instruction — mixing and rolling out cookie dough— as well as guidance in creating templates and cutting + decorating 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional gingerbread.
Participants will leave with a bag of flour, cookies, and a holiday recipe booklet.
Siena Unfried grew up in a bakery, literally. Her dad launched Flat Rock Village Bakery 24 years ago, and would hollow out a couple ciabtta for Siena’s toddler feet (ciabatta means slippers : ) She now buys her own shoes and manages West First Bakehouse, crafting deserts and baking breads for their downtown Hendersonville restaurant .
