It’s that time of year again when we open our doors to our community.
We are finally through harvest, past the rapid-fire demands that begin the moment our grain is cut: gathering samples, bake testing, lab testing, coordinating grain cleaning, coordinating trucking to the freezer and trucking to our facility, where we process our grains with CO2…
And now, planting season is approaching and we consider our next year’s crop..
But also we exhale.. now begins an easier pace, the best time to come together with our community.
So please, join us for our first POP UP of the season …
In attendance will be: Stonewall Bakery as well as Folk Saints, Looking Glass Creamery, West First(who may just wow us all with wood-fired breakfast sandwiches!), Honey Badger with his incredible bagels, and Le Bon Cafe, with her mobile coffee cafe, serving organic, locally roasted coffee and other warming beverages on a hopefully cool autumnal morning. French Broad Chocolate will be here with chocolates for eating and baking. Also, Wild Violet Rabbitry will have fiber crafts and botanically dyes yarns, and David Gate will be here with his book and prints.
We will of course have a full selection of our flours as well as grits and polenta from Farm and Sparrow, baking accoutrement, and more! So come stock up in preparation for your fall baking!
For those of you who’d like to skip the line, we’ve opened up the pick-up option on our online store so you can pre-order your flour and pick up at the Pop-Up.
Deadline to place orders is midnight on Friday, Oct 2nd. We will have a separate pick up station at the Pop-Up for these orders.
This will be a wonderful morning for our community to gather after the summer and we look forward to having you all join us.
